A perspective member must be in good standing with a Blue Lodge and Khiva Shrine Center. An application for membership must be completed. Dues to join are $49.00 annually for an active membership. There are three classes of membership available to new members of the Khiva Oriental Band.....
ACTIVE: Active members are the regular members of our organization. Active members are expected to discharge and perform their share of the responsibilities, duties, and obligations of the organization. All active members participate in the Oriental Band and all new members must be a performing part of the Oriental Band. Active members have full voting privileges at all proceedings.
SOCIAL: Any noble in good standing in Khiva Shrine may be a social member. Annual dues are $35.00, with an initiation fee of $15.00. He may attend activities, but is not required to share responsibilities, duties and obligations as active members. A Social member may not participate in Oriental Band competitions, nor share in any funding for musical participation. He also has a voice but no voting privileges in any proceedings that he may attend..
HONORARY: Honorary members consist of any noble of Khiva Shrine that holds an office on the active Divan if they are not already a member of the Oriental Band. Honorary members will not be subject to dues, fines or assessments (except for functions attended). An Honorary member may not participate in Oriental Band competitions, nor share in any funding for musical participation. He also has a voice but no voting privileges in any proceedings that he may attend
